Alan Wake 2 Set to Release on October 17, 2023

Remedy Entertainment, the developer of the critically acclaimed psychological horror game Alan Wake, has announced that the sequel, Alan Wake 2, will be released on October 17, 2023. The game will be available exclusively as a digital download.


Alan Wake 2 is set 10 years after the events of the first game. Alan Wake, a best-selling thriller writer, is still haunted by the events of Bright Falls, Washington, and the darkness that consumed him. He has now moved to New Orleans to start a new life, but the darkness has followed him.


Alan Wake 2 will feature a dual-perspective gameplay system, allowing players to experience the game from both Alan's and the darkness's perspectives. The game will also feature a photorealistic visual style, utilizing Remedy's Northlight Engine.


Alan Wake 2 is scheduled to be released on October 17, 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.


In addition to the release date announcement, Remedy Entertainment also released a new trailer for Alan Wake 2. The trailer gives players a glimpse of the game's dark and atmospheric setting, as well as some of the enemies that Alan will face.


The trailer also features a brief voiceover from Alan Wake, who says: "The darkness is coming. And this time, I'm not going to run."


Alan Wake 2 is shaping up to be a major horror game release for 2023. With its dark and atmospheric setting, dual-perspective gameplay, and photorealistic visuals, the game is sure to be a hit with fans of the first game and horror fans alike.
