Amazon's first overseas pre-bonded warehouse will be located in Ningbo

The 5th China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10. According to the official information from the Ningbo Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone, Amazon announced at this CIIE that the first pre-bonded warehouse purchased by Amazon overseas will be settled in Ningbo in 2023.

The Ningbo pre-bonded warehouse will first serve Amazon's UK and German sites and will expand to cover Amazon's four major sites in the United States, Britain, Japan, and Germany in the future.

The pre-bonded warehouse logistics will save an average of about 4 to 5 days compared with overseas direct mail. At the same time, Amazon's overseas purchases will introduce more new overseas categories such as pet food through the pre-bonded warehouse.

Amazon’s net sales in the second quarter reached 121.234 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 7%; the net loss reached 2.028 billion US dollars.
