Many manufacturers are looking into new kinds of transportation, from electric scooters to shared vehicles, and microcars are among them. For the time being, the Audi Vista is the brainchild of Hyunsik Moon (@moonhyunsik), a young South Korean man who, after studying industrial design in his own country, is currently furthering his skills at the German University of Pforzheim, where he is studying Automotive Design. Transportation. The Audi Vista is a part of a university initiative sponsored by Audi. "The world of the car is changing very quickly," says Hyunsik, "which is why there are many creative possibilities for designers."

All wheel drive

Hyunsik's design combines the driving enjoyment of an electric roadster for four people in under three meters of length, the ability to transform into an urban one, reducing its length by nearly half, and Quattro technology owing to electric motors housed in the wheels. The Audi Vista in roadster form is a tiny sports vehicle with four occupants, two in the direction of movement and the other two in the opposite direction, enjoying the open air and the feeling of a real roadster. Despite the lack of a windshield, the front hood is meant to keep airflow from disturbing the occupants.

The Audi Vista enters Segway mode and folds in the center, decreasing its length by nearly half but without requiring the occupants to exit the interior because the seats are also altered for this new arrangement. The passengers are virtually standing in this position, supported by the seats and useful handles on the sides of the passenger compartment. The panels operate as fairings for the rear wheels on the side of the Vista slide and provide access to tiny areas on both sides of the bodywork that act as trunks and can carry one or two backpacks.

Driving without a steering wheel

Another novel approach to this notion is the driving style, which employs a single joystick positioned between the front seats. This enables the Audi Vista to be driven with one hand and from either of the two seats, eliminating the need for components that drive on the left or right depending on the market. This single knob serves as both a gearbox and steering controller. The simple design of the entire inside is pleasant yet provides the athletic touch that its superb seats provide.

The dashboard has a single head-up display in the center that can be shifted to either side depending on the driver's position. To add to the cabin's sophistication, a line of LED lighting goes around the whole inside the perimeter. Hyunsik has envisaged the Audi Vista in a deep red metallic, a dazzling yellow metallic, and a black variant with two tones of gray inside.
