BYD announces cooperation with global car rental company SIXT

BYD announced that it has signed a cooperation agreement with SIXT, a global car rental company, to provide new energy car rental services for the European market and jointly promote the electrification of the car rental market.


According to the agreement between the two parties, SIXT will purchase at least 100,000 new energy vehicles from BYD in the next six years. A variety of BYD new energy vehicles will serve SIXT customers, including the newly launched Yuan PLUS in Europe. Vehicle deliveries will begin in the fourth quarter of this year, and the first phase of cooperative markets includes Germany, the United Kingdom, France, and the Netherlands.


Statistics show that SIXT is a car rental company with branches in more than 100 countries around the world and more than 2,100 business outlets. It mainly provides a series of high-end car rental services for business, corporate and private users.


BYD said that it will help SIXT achieve the green goal of reaching 70% to 90% of the electric fleet by 2030 .
