BYD Reports Record Sales of New Energy Vehicles in December 2022

BYD, a Chinese automaker, has reported impressive sales figures for December 2022 and the whole year of 2022. In December, the company sold 235,197 new energy vehicles, representing a significant increase from the 93,945 sold in the same month the previous year. This strong performance contributed to the company's overall sales for the year, which totaled 1,863,494 vehicles, marking a year-on-year increase of 208.64%.

These sales figures demonstrate the growing demand for electric vehicles in the market and BYD's ability to meet that demand. As concerns about the environmental impact of transportation continue to rise, it is likely that we will see more consumers turn towards electric vehicles as a more sustainable transportation option. BYD's strong sales performance in 2022 is a promising sign for the future of electric vehicles and the company's continued success in the industry.

BYD, a Chinese automaker, has announced that it sold a total of 11,320 new energy passenger vehicles overseas in December 2022. This marks a decrease from the 12,318 sold in November of the same year. Despite this slight dip in sales, BYD's overall performance in the new energy vehicle market has been strong, with the company reporting a year-on-year increase of 208.64% in sales for the whole of 2022.

In addition to its sales figures, BYD has also reported on its production of new energy vehicle power batteries and energy storage batteries. In December 2022, the company's total installed capacity for these products was approximately 11.152 GWh, with a cumulative installed capacity for the year of 89.836 GWh. These figures highlight BYD's focus on expanding its production capabilities in the renewable energy sector.
