In the third quarter financial performance report released on December 2, Hu Huazhi, chairman of EHang Intelligent, said that all airworthiness certification plans for EHang EH216-S flying cars have been officially approved by the Civil Aviation Administration of China. Approved, the airworthiness certification process has entered the final stage of compliance verification.
EH216-S is a manned self-driving electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOL). EHang Intelligent said in October this year that the self-driving eVTOL has passed the type certification, which is unprecedented in the world. The type certification of the EH216-S manned autonomous aircraft applied by EHang will also be the first in the world.
The financial report shows that Yihang Smart achieved revenue of 8.226 million yuan in the third quarter of the fiscal year 2022, a year-on-year decrease of 36.6%; gross profit was 5.425 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 32.3%.
In addition, Yihang's gross profit margin in the third quarter was 65.9%, and its net loss was 76.5 million yuan; the sales and delivery volume of EH216 AAV was 4 units, compared with 8 units in the second quarter of 2022.
