Google Wallet Now Automatically Fetches Boarding Passes and Movie Tickets from Gmail

In a move that streamlines travel and entertainment planning, Google announced a new feature for Google Wallet. The app can now automatically fetch boarding passes and movie tickets directly from your Gmail inbox.

This update eliminates the need to manually add tickets through the booking platform or by screenshotting PDFs. With the new feature, whenever you receive a confirmation email for a flight or movie ticket in Gmail, Google Wallet will automatically import the relevant information.

However, there's a caveat. Google acknowledges that this functionality is currently limited to "some global movie chains and airlines." The company assures users that they are "working to expand" compatibility with more ticketing platforms in the future.

This update comes alongside another recently introduced feature in Google Wallet: manual pass archiving. This allows users to remove passes from the app's home screen for better organization without permanently deleting them.
