Hefei's new energy vehicle industry has gathered 305 companies that are regulated, including BYD, Weilai, Volkswagen (Anhui), Hefei Changan, Ankai Automobile, and other 6 complete vehicles. Manufacturing enterprises, as well as key supporting enterprises such as Guoxuan Hi-Tech, China Innovation Aviation, and Juyi Technology.
In the first half of this year, Anhui Province promoted the integration of Hefei BYD Phase II with a total investment of 15 billion yuan, Hefei Weilai Phase II with a total investment of 25.3 billion yuan, and Huaibei Jinpu New Energy Battery Materials with a total investment of 10.1 billion yuan. A batch of major projects has been launched.
Data show that in 2021, the output of new energy vehicles in Anhui Province will reach 252,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 1.4 times; in the first half of this year, the output of new energy vehicles in Anhui Province will reach 240,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 94%.
By the end of June 2022, the number of new energy vehicles in the country reached 10.01 million, accounting for 3.23% of the total number of vehicles, an increase of 27.80% compared with the end of 2021. Among them, the number of pure electric vehicles is 8.104 million, accounting for 80.93% of the total number of new energy vehicles. New energy vehicles are developing rapidly.
According to the data from the China Automobile Association, from January to August, the production and sales of automobiles completed 16.967 million and 16.86 million respectively, an increase of 4.8% and 1.7% year-on-year respectively, which is the first double increase in production and sales since the second quarter. From January to August, the production and sales of new energy vehicles reached 3.97 million and 3.86 million respectively, an increase of 1.2 times and 1.1 times year-on-year respectively.
