Microsoft partners with TikTok influencers on new Teams 'remix' ringtones

Microsoft has high hopes for the Teams line communication and collaboration software, which is used by millions of customers every month. Microsoft Teams appears to be more geared towards the corporate sector that takes calls in hybrid and online work environments.

Now, Microsoft has teamed up with a TikTok influencer named "CandyMoore.mp3" on the social media platform to "remix" its default Teams ringtone and add it to the app.

CandyMoore.mp3 regularly posts remixes on his TikTok account and is getting a lot of attention. Its popularity led Microsoft to introduce "Remix" as the official ringtone in the Teams app.

However, Microsoft did not enforce the mix for Teams customers. Users who prefer it can head to the Teams app and navigate to Settings > Calls > Ringtones. The drop-down menu there can auto-populate with the "Mix" option, then use that ringtone. Because desktop and web applications are synchronized with mobile applications, changes made on any device can overwrite other devices.
