Musk says that he now works 17 hours a day

After becoming the boss of Twitter, Elon Musk now has to manage multiple companies at the same time, so how long does he now work a week, and how does it? What about the job?

Before acquiring Twitter, Musk ran Tesla, SpaceX, brain-computer interface company Neuralink, and tunnel-digging company The Boring Company. Now, he's the new owner of Twitter and serves as CEO and sole director.

On Friday, Musk gave a speech at the 29th annual Barron's Investing Conference. Ron Baron, the founder of Barron's Capital Group, and the organizer of the conference asked him how he handled the new role. Barron is currently a shareholder in Tesla, SpaceX, and Twitter.

"My workload went from about 78 hours a week to maybe 120 hours (17 hours a day on average)," Musk told Barron. Sla is much easier to manage."

He did not reveal who would replace him as Twitter CEO if any, although he told fans on Twitter that his role as the social network's sole director and CEO was temporary.

He also reiterated at the conference that Tesla still intends to develop an electric car that is cheaper than the entry-level Model 3. He also reiterated his goal of producing 40,000 cars a day.
