In particular, the report highlights the use of a single front-facing windshield camera with an 8-megapixel image sensor and a wide 120-degree field of view in the 2022 BMW 3 Series sedan.

This marks the end of Mobileye's trifocal camera module, which consisted of three separate cameras with lower resolution and varying fields of view. The move to a single, high-resolution camera with a wider field of view is expected to improve the accuracy and performance of autonomous vehicle systems.
