NVIDIA founder and CEO Huang Renxun demonstrated the new generation of the IVI system in a recent keynote speech. NVIDIA said the NVIDIA DRIVE Concierge platform uses centralized high-performance computing that covers traditional cockpit and instrument cluster functions, as well as providing a personalized AI entertainment experience for each occupant.
NVIDIA DRIVE Concierge integrates DRIVE AGX computing platform, DRIVE IX intelligent experience software stack, and Omniverse ACE to provide passengers with intelligent functions, including graphic visualization in intelligent cockpit and instrument panel, intelligent digital assistant, driving crew and passenger monitoring, streaming content such as games and movies.
In terms of cockpit functions, with a centralized architecture, DRIVE Concierge can seamlessly orchestrate driver information, cockpit and infotainment functions, and provide a multi-zone in-cabin experience. Each passenger can customize the in-car experience by controlling individual displays and audio zones. Additionally, it supports the Android Automotive operating system.
Through NVIDIA DRIVE Concierge, passengers can watch videos and experience high-performance games. Users can also choose from their favorite gaming apps, or play videos or start games directly on the car screen . Nvidia says passengers can access more than 1,000 games without downloading by using the NVIDIA GeForce NOW cloud gaming service .
