Private Astronaut Releasing Free Educational Videos Filmed in Space Today

A private astronaut who recently returned from a mission to the International Space Station is releasing a series of free educational videos filmed in space.

John Shoffner, a rookie astronaut who flew on the Ax-2 mission with Axiom Space, will debut the series on Monday, August 28 at 8 p.m. EDT. The videos will be available to watch on Eventbrite and will also be posted on Shoffner's foundation's website, the Perseid Foundation.

The series, called "Habitat Space," will give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at life on the ISS. Shoffner will talk about his experiences living and working in space, and he will also share educational information about the station's science experiments, technology, and engineering.

The videos are designed to inspire students to learn more about STEM subjects. They will cover topics such as amateur radio in space, the recycling system on the ISS, and the space toilets.

"I hope these videos will help students see that space is a place for everyone," said Shoffner. "No matter what your background or interests, there's something for you in space."

The "Habitat Space" videos are the latest in a growing trend of private astronauts using their experiences to promote STEM education. In recent years, several private astronauts have written books, given speeches, and appeared in documentaries to share their stories with the public.

Shoffner's videos are a valuable resource for students who are interested in learning more about space. They are also a reminder that anyone can dream of becoming an astronaut, regardless of their background.

The videos will remain free for students and teachers around the world after their release.
