The exact date of the launch of the Russian mission to Venus has been determined

According to RIA Novosti, head of the laboratory for spectroscopy of planetary atmospheres of the Institute of Space Research (IKI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) Lyudmila Zasova named the exact date of the launch of the Russian mission to Venus.

The Venera-D spacecraft is scheduled to be launched on November 11, 2029, as announced by Lyudmila Zasova at the 12th International Symposium on Solar System Research. Lev Zeleny, the scientific director of the IKI RAS, noted that the launch of this mission could be postponed for a short period of time.

Earlier, Lev Zeleny said that the design of the Venera-D spacecraft and the development of a comprehensive Venus research program received funding for two years in advance. It is planned that Russia will eventually launch several missions.

A year ago, the head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin called Venus the Russian planet, for which Russia has certain plans.
