WhatsApp voice messages will become less annoying

The team at the popular messenger WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will make it easier to listen to voice messages, giving users more freedom.

The topic resource WABetaInfo drew attention to the upcoming innovation called the Global voice message player. As noted by the source, the new player will allow you to listen to voice messages anywhere in the WhatsApp application.

Currently, voice messages are played only from the sender's chat screen. If you leave this screen, message playback will be interrupted.

Based on the screenshot, the currently playing voice message will appear in a dedicated docked top bar with basic controls such as pause, play, and close. This panel will be available on any screen on WhatsApp.

The feature is still in the early stages of development and is not available even for beta testers. The exact launch dates for users are not yet known.
